POWER OF THE PURSE
There’s power when we work together for good. Power of the Purse is an annual fundraising event hosted by Women United to help everyone in McLean County find pathways to prosperity.
This lively friends’ night out is a fun-filled evening fundraiser with an electronic silent auction for new designer bags from brands like Vera Bradley, COACH, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and Dooney & Bourke. Other bids and raffles are always part of the evening, giving attendees the chance to win spa packages, jewelry, and gift baskets. For our 2023 event, proceeds supported our children’s literacy initiative, in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Research shows that when kids have access to books at home, their academic standing in both reading and math soar.

There’s power when we work together for good. Power of the Pub is an annual fundraising event hosted by Women United to help everyone in McLean County find pathways to prosperity.
This friends’ night out at the pub—for a cause!—includes complimentary appetizers and a cash bar. Attendees make a lasting difference for our community by participating in a silent auction, games and prizes, and a 50/50 raffle. For our 2023 event, proceeds supported our children’s literacy initiative, in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
