There’s power when we work together for good
Power of the Pub is an annual fundraising event hosted by Women United to help everyone in McLean County find pathways to prosperity.
This friends’ night out at the pub—for a cause!—includes complimentary appetizers and a cash bar. Attendees make a lasting difference for our community by participating in a silent auction, games and prizes, and a 50/50 raffle.
For our 2023 event, proceeds supported our children’s literacy initiative, in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Research shows that when kids have access to books at home, their academic standing in both reading and math soar.
2023 Event Recap
This year’s event took place October 12 at Lakeside Country Club. Doors opened at 5:00 p.m. and the program began at 6:00 p.m. The evening included music by Chris Clemens, game stations hosted by Red Raccoon Games, and a silent auction. Attendees could purchase a commemorative logo glass from the night, which included one free drink!
We’re grateful for all who participated—they are change agents helping kids in McLean County find the path to future success.
