Workforce180 Enters Its 5th Year & Welcomes 80+ Students

Education has long been linked to personal and communal economic well-being. But many young adults face barriers to the education and training they need for a satisfying career that promotes self-sufficiency and stability.

Workforce180 is the solution, removing those barriers so young adults can access pathways to prosperity.

More than 80 young adults are part of this year’s Workforce180 initiative. They find vital support all year long from United Way staff, volunteer mentor support, Heartland Success Coaches, and Mid Central Community Action’s Financial Opportunity Center.

The impact for the students and our community is incredible! Now in its fifth year, Workforce180 has already helped 30 students move into the local workforce, creating over $2M in local economic impact since 2020.

Donor investments create an astounding 265% ROI via the Workforce180 initiative! Check out all the impressive stats on our 2024 Impacts Report.

The human impact is equally impressive and evident in the lives of the participants who are the next generation of preschool teachers, nurses, paramedics, law enforcement, and construction workers. Thank you for making Workforce180 available for them!
